Shai Agassi, il profeta dell'auto elettrica, è un tipo a cui le sfide piacciono, e molto. Quarantuno anni, israeliano, afferma senza mezzi termini che la sua missione è porre fine all'era del petrolio. Ha rifiutato persino una poltrona da amministratore delegato alla Sap, colosso mondiale del software, per dedicarsi a tempo pieno a Better Place, la start up tecnologica da lui fondata.
Agassi non produce automobili, piuttosto stringe accordi con le Case e direttamente con gli Stati ed è convinto di poter creare un modello di mobilità a batterie economicamente sostenibile. L'obiettivo è partire già nel 2011 in Israele, per poi espandersi in Danimarca, Australia e California.
