The thing that strikes me most of modern times is not so much the smutandamento and the exaltation of the body female, which I consider more a consequence, since the blackout and the debasement of the male.
Until a few years ago we went to the beach all in briefs, but today's briefs have been replaced by ugly boxer male and female g-strings by the equally horrific.
I once played football shirts with members and mid-thigh shorts, t-shirts today with very large and wide and long trousers to the knee.
I think the male body is what society aseptic and spineless Western fears most: strength, force, pride and, perhaps, even a hint of arrogance.
Hence the continuous and simultaneous coprirsi degli uomini e scoprirsi delle donne. Da qui l'insistente sminuzione dell'importanza del copro maschile in vari campi, anche nel sesso. Ricerche e ricerchine che "dimostrerebbero" che le donne sono attratte dal reddito degli uomini, dal puzzo di sudore degli uomini, dalle "qualità morali" (questa è la più bella!) degli uomini, da tutto fuorché dalla fisicità maschile.
Da qui l'esaltazione del corpo femminile, a sua volta però svilito e deformato. Da qui la denigrazione degli uomini che osano andare fieri della propria fisicità e che sono etichettati come "narcisisti bambinoni", "complessati", "presuntuosi" se non addirittura "effeminati". Da qui la riduzione del maschio a a "club" whose only "beauty" would consist in being more or less large ...

make me laugh those who allege a media propaganda in favor of smoking while we are almost constantly bombarded by anti-smoking campaigns.
In fact, the media propaganda is often used as a scapegoat by those che non si danno pace del fatto che molte cose al mondo non vanno secondo i loro gusti personali. E questo avviene per la semplice ragione che il mondo non gira secondo i nostri personali desideri (e perché mai dovrebbe?).
E' un po' come dire: "Se non ci fossero i media le cose andrebbero come vorrei io, avrebbero tutti i miei stessi gusti e tutti la penserebbero come me".

Ci sono parecchie donne che considerano Obama un "figo" sol perché è il presidente americano, non è molto anziano ed è "nero" (che poi io quando vado a mare son più nero di lui...). Pensate un po': uno scopettino senza fisico e senza forme con la faccia da morto e coi vestiti che gli cascano di dosso è considerato "figo" sol perché è il presidente USA ed è nero. Questa si che è "propaganda mediatica" se così vogliamo definire la scemenza della gente.

Da un punto di vista morale si dice che i credenti rispetterebbero maggiormente le norme morali in quanto senza Dio tutto sarebbe possibile e via dicendo. Alcune ricerche invece tenderebbero a confermare che proprio i non credenti tendono a essere spesso maggiormente rispettosi delle norme moral.

If, however, morality is the set of constraints, duties, formalities and beliefs that contribute to the perpetuation dell'ordine vigente, allora mi sa che in tal caso i non credenti perdono nettamente in qualità in quanto alla base del loro rispetto di tali norme morali ci sarebbe la convinzione che viviamo nel migliore dei mondi possibili. E se questo è il migliore dei mondi possibili... In tal caso proprio i credenti sarebbero relativamente più "ribelli" rispetto ai non credenti. Non che essere ribelli sia un valore in sé, però almeno non essere del tutto supini all'ordine di cose vigente mi sembra un segno di intelligenza in più.
